Student Software from Global Information Centre Global Information Centre has teamed up with Microsoft to offer a cost effective way to purchase software for students and teachers. As a world leading company, Microsoft appreciates the importance of education and it's impact on everyone's life. The company is making enormous commitments to assist students, teachers and learners at every level of academic development and progress. Increasingly, students are purchasing their own PCs to support their education, which in turn creates cost pressures on limited student resources. To help overcome this, Microsoft has designed a unique Student License Offer that gives students and teachers easier ownership of Microsoft software.
Eligibility Since individuals such as students and staff may not purchase Microsoft products under Microsoft Open License or Microsoft Select licensing schemes, Student Licensing is their only option for getting discounted prices. Microsoft Student License is for students attending primary, secondary, or special needs schools, or registered in any school, college, university or course which will award a certificate or qualification recognised by the Department of Education and Employment. The students and teachers may only use the product for their own personal use on their own PC. The Student License is a license for life. When a student leaves academia, there is no need to upgrade to a full packaged product. If a product needs to be upgraded, though, this has to be done at the full upgrade price; there is no student pricing for upgrades. Products The following products are available for Student Licensing: SKU Numbers Can Be Updated at any time PLEASE Use MS Link for Latest News Other products are being considered. Students automatically get information about additional products unless they specifically indicate that they do NOT wish to receive any more information.
